Swahili is the official language of Tanzania. It is spoken by about 20 million people in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. Swahili has a rich vocabulary that includes words from Arabic, English and Bantu languages. It also has its own unique grammar rules.

The word swahili means "the language" or "the way". In fact there are two main dialects: Kiswahili (Kiswahili) which is used in East Africa and Central Africa; and Coastal Swahili which is used on the coast of East Africa.

What do i need to start?

You can start from wherever you want - whether that's having just started learning Swahili or being a more advanced learner. You don't need any previous knowledge of the language to get started; all we ask is that you're willing to work hard!
